Melanie Melton was born to Dale and Genevieve Lyon, and raised in Utah, in the small town of Ferron, where she learned how important family, friends, and God are to her very existence.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Imaging, specializing in breast cancer. This has led Melanie to serving, both through her work at the hospital, and in her personal life, to help women understand how to take care of themselves. They have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Aubrie Genevieve, who is eight years old. Aubrie is the miracle angel that Melanie was promised in the Patriarchal Blessing, she received when she was 12 years old.
Melanie has two sister wives, Tracy and Stephanie. Between them all, they have 10 children and 3 grandchildren. Melanie and her family live in Kidder, Missouri on a 30 acre farm where they raise sheep, goats, chickens, bees, and horses. He believes the Torah is still valid and when reading it he never ceases to be amazed by the justice and mercy of its laws, and the wisdom and goodness of he who gave them. Besides asking his parents (and other adults in his life) challenging gospel questions, he also loves to study the scriptures and apocryphal writings. He practices jujitsu and has a keen interest in mathematical and scientific subjects.

Patty Wilcox does not have a conversion story. She was born in the covenant, raised in the Church, and always had a testimony of the restored gospel. Hers was the only LDS family in her grade school. Her mother was called in by her fourth grade teacher who complained that she was arguing with her about the origin of the American Indians. While she never doubted Joseph Smith’s doctrine, she didn’t always know it, of course. Therefore, she has spent her life seeking and studying the further light and knowledge Father has promised. She has had many wonderful opportunities to teach and share truth, and is looking forward to doing so again.
Her presentation is titled:
The Seven Biblical Feasts and How LDS Families Can Celebrate Them

Joshua Erickson was raised in an LDS home in Utah, by a father who was a scholar and lover of the Restoration and all things Israelite. His father has now passed away, but planted a loving seed in Joshua for those things. The seed grew slowly in earlier years, but has now blossomed and is continually growing. He is hoping to plant similar seeds in his own children (he has nine). As an Ephraimite, Joshua is intently interested in the fulfilment of the ancient promises given in the Hebrew Scriptures, and in the connection of those promises to the Restoration thru Joseph Smith. He sometimes calls himself an Independent Fundamentalist Karaite Mormon, but has a desire to see all of the branches of the Restoration blossom, bear good fruit, and claim their place and blessings as children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Born and raised in Utah (one of seven siblings) Joshua served as a proselytizing missionary in Atlanta, Georgia as a young man after which he started a family and attended graduate school at UCLA. He is a chemist by training and profession, and loves his job. He and his family currently live in Lehi, UT. He is also the secretary of the Zarahemla Foundation, and author of the book, Wine of your Own Make.

Blessings & Cursings, Race & Lineage: Inheritance in the Family of Israel.

Kevin Kraut is a Printer, Entrepreneur, Spiritual Gift Trainer, Historical Researcher, and is into Mining Exploration.
Kevin was born at Dugway Proving Ground, a military base in the West Desert of Utah. At age 14 he moved to Pima, AZ which is where he considers his roots are from. His great-grandfather was the first Stake President in Arizona. He was Eagle Scout with 4 Palms, served an 18 month mission in New Zealand and was allowed to extend it 6 months longer. Having been raised in the LDS church, and tutored in early Mormon history by his father Ogden Kraut, he was sent to various places on his mission to battle with the Anti-Mormons with great success. Kevin has multiple stories and is known as a storyteller by Native Americans and the Maori people he served with in New Zealand. His family had in their possession Joseph Smith’s Belcher Seer Stone and has many experiences with that stone and other spiritual tools. One of his greatest gifts is having dreams of the future, some of which have come to pass within 5 minutes of waking up.
His father, Ogden Kraut, authored over 70 books on early Mormonism. One of Kevin’s greatest ambitions has been to finish his father’s work by compiling all his writings into one very large book. This dream was completed earlier this year! Kevin feels very inspired to help people understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ in and out of the church.

The Kingship of Joseph Smith

Mike Mitchell is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has found a love and appreciation for the Old Testament, with a particular love for the Torah. He has found this love to be uncommon and often misunderstood within traditional church circles. His journey began with sincere questions and concerns that could not be answered regarding the direction of the Church. He found understanding and answers by recognizing the patterns and teaching methods God has used since the beginning. Because of this, he believes that God is truly unchanging and continues to work in these same patterns today.
Mike and his family have been observing the biblical feasts and festivals in various ways for the last nine years. Through observing the feasts, he has found friendship and fellowship with people from various backgrounds, all seeking to live and understand the Hebrew roots of their faith. Mike genuinely respects and appreciates others’ earnest efforts to live any truth found in scripture.
Mike was raised as the youngest of six kids in the farm country of West Kaysville, Utah. His love for the outdoors kept him from getting into more trouble than he was naturally inclined to in his youth. At nineteen, while contemplating serving a mission, he experienced a profound change of heart and was truly born of God. He deeply relates to Alma’s words: “I could remember my pains no more, yea I was harrowed up by the memory of my sins no more… there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy!” He served in the Canada, Toronto West Mission.
Since that time, he has served in Primary, Young Men’s, Elders Quorum, and most recently, Sunday School. He is happily married and the proud father of five. He was barely educated at Davis High and formally educated at Dixie and Weber State, where he graduated with honors. His background is in accounting and sales. He has sold his business and is busy exploring new opportunities.
Pray for his soul and his message. For truly, if anything is gained from hearing him speak, it will be a testament to God’s willingness to use the weak and simple to accomplish His work.

Charlotte Erickson and Abigail Fields will be our dancing instructors for this conference.
Charlotte loves the scriptures, the holy-days, the restoration, and the hymns, and she constantly tries to be the change she wants to see in the world. She is grateful to her parents for raising her in the LDS Church and teaching her the importance of studying the scriptures and gaining her own testimony.
Charlotte is a homemaker, patriot, musician, astronomer, and blogger. Her most valued treasures are her nine beautiful children (seven of her own and two more that also call her “Mama”), and one of her favorite things about homeschooling is learning new things along with them. She is an experienced event planner and ran the Homeschool Science Fair, which is only two steps away from the International STEM Fair.
Charlotte has a graduate degree in mathematics from the University of Utah, as well as a degree in math education, and she has taught and/or tutored math on every level from preschool to university. She has been fascinated with Joseph Smith’s New Translation of the Bible ever since she read Robert Matthews’s work on it more than 10 years ago.
Abigail is both a big and little sister, a good helper at home, a lover of beautiful food, animals (check out her Youtube channel: Little Rodents) and anything athletic! Her favorite subgects in homeschool are reading and piano. Her aunt is a professional photographer, and is teaching her the art of photography.
